Idle Cash Review — with Advisor Card-sort 2.67 / 3 Tier 3 · RM

The idle-cash signal, routed to an advisor rather than a deposit. When a large balance sits idle, this surfaces the inflation cost and connects the client to their RM to review where it could work harder. Because that's a personalized investment review (Tier 3) it routes to the advisor; with no RM it down-converts to a booking + education — never silent.

01

User Flow

Idle cash is detected from the client's own accounts and surfaced calmly in-app with the inflation cost. The investor reviews it, then the path forks on whether they have an advisor — putting cash to work beyond a deposit is a Tier-3 decision, so both routes lead to a human.

What inflation does to idle cash

Cash keeps its number, but not its buying power. When prices rise faster than the interest your cash earns, the same balance buys a little less each year — even though the figure on screen never drops.

What AED 750,000 really buys over time

The number on screenWhat it actually buys
Today
AED 750k
In 5 years
≈ 660k
In 10 years
≈ 580k
If the balance earns ~0.5% while prices rise ~3% a year, the number stays put — but it buys roughly AED 170,000 less in ten years.

Why it's easy to miss

  • The number never falls. The erosion is invisible — your balance looks identical while it quietly buys less.
  • It compounds. A small yearly gap becomes a meaningful sum over several years.
  • Not all cash is "idle." An emergency buffer and near-term spending should stay liquid — it's the surplus sitting still that drags.

How your advisor helps

Options that aim to outpace inflation trade off some liquidity or add ups and downs in value. An advisor can size your true cash buffer and review what the surplus could do — matched to your goals, never automatically.

Why you're seeing this

What triggered it

A large cash balance has been sitting idle in your account, well above your usual buffer.

What it used

Only your own account balances and activity — nothing is shared outside the app.

How it's created

Our AI selects from a pre-approved library of nudges. It surfaces the factual gap but never gives investment advice — that's for a licensed advisor. Every nudge is logged.

Why it routes to an advisor

Reviewing risk involves securities decisions, which require a licensed advisor — so this nudge hands off to a human rather than acting in-app.

You're in control

Mute or fine-tune risk reviews whenever you like.

Habit Building

Idle cash builds up quietly. The habit this builds is cash awareness — trusting the app to flag a large idle balance and connect a human for the actual review, rather than nagging or pushing a product.

First review
Sees the cost clearly
The inflation bars and the “AED 15,000 a year” figure make an abstract cost concrete — the investor sees what idle cash is really doing.
Trust: made it visible
Hand-off
Routed to a human
The app doesn't pretend to advise. It connects the investor to their advisor (or books a call), which signals it knows its limits.
Trust: knows its limits
Aftermath
No nagging
It only returns if the cash stays idle. The investor learns that when this fires, a real balance is going to waste.
Habit: signal, not noise
Over time
Cash-aware partnership
The investor comes to treat the app as an honest early-warning system that loops in the right people — not a robo-advisor pushing trades.
Habit: trusted watchdog
The guardrail that protects the habit: a Tier-3 nudge never gives securities advice in-app — it shows the factual cost with a visual and hands off to a licensed advisor (or down-converts to a booking + education for self-directed clients). It re-fires only if the cash stays idle, under the global 2–5 per week cap.
